To my surprise this week I see that a new Logan’s Run comic is due out.  Actually it was due for release on 17 February but I think it has been delayed until 24 February, according to Midtown Comics.

This seems to be quite a coup for the company who is releasing the new comic series, as it’s being written by William F Nolan one of the two people who originally authored the book.  The book was published in 1967 and the film released in 1976.  I wasn’t really a big fan of the movie and preferred the short-lived TV series of 1977/8 which recently had a revival in the UK and on iTunes.

I am not sure that I will like the new comic book as it will probably be based more on the film rather than the TV program, however, I shall pick it up anyhow and see what it’s like.

The comic book seems to be the start of Logan’s Run fever since there is a new movie proposed due for release in 2012.  Doesn’t seem to be much news about it at the moment.
