The chair of the Senate Sub-Committee on Immigration has stated however that there would be Immigration Reform within the year [source: Daily News]. The UAFA has seen some further co-sponsors since I last wrote about this. In the House of Representatives HR1024 the number of co-sponsors has risen to 98, that is 2, thanks to Steve Israel of New Yorks 2nd District and Bobby Rush of Illinois’s 1st District. Unfortunately there has been no change in the Senate which stands at 17.
