There is quite a stir in the UK at the moment regarding the launch of Google Street View which went live in March.

The BBC has been reporting stores such has how Google has pulled some pictures however they still remain online by viewing them at a different angle [source], and how some residents are challenging the Google van taking pictures [source].

Well, I thought I would check out our previous residence and to my surprise you can zoom in to look inside our kitchen and living room window.  Since we are not living there any more it doesn’t bother me too much but could be potentially embarrassing since it looks as though it was filmed before we left.  Also in our area you can clearly see some geezers face – I blanked it.

So when is Google Street View coming to Canada?  According to this CBC report pretty soon, we’ll see what the Canadian reaction to it is!
